1973: Two sisters from the Peramiho Priory began mission work in Chesongoch in the Kerio Valley.

On February 10, 1981, five sisters from different priories established the first house in Nairobi with an African novitiate. Over the years candidates from Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria and Angola have come here for their formation in religious life.

1987: Kenya was raised to a priory and has five flourishing stations.
